Two Thousand Twenty Two...
It’s been going pretty ok so far. Hope yours has too. I’ve been recording a whole bunch of songs for my next record, and this is me doing just that in the studio. I’m aiming to get around 30 down on tape and pick the 10 or so that gel the best for an album release. I’m building this project backwards from how I’ve historically recorded in that I’m getting my vocals and guitar set in stone and then building out other instrumentation from there. In these times it feels easier that way, and I’m hoping it will make way for some fresh sounds and ideas. Other than that I’ve got shows coming in on my calendar and I’m stoked to be putting a cool band together for the SXSW 2022 showcase and day parties. Hope to see you out there in this crazy world!

Had great time on my travels and couple of shows in my homeland of Mississippi. Back in Texas and I’ll be at Vista Brewing in Driftwood, TX this Friday night 6-8 as part of their Driftwood Nights Songwriter Series, benefiting Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. Also, I’m very excited to be playing The Saxon Pub on Nov 5. Of all the years I’ve lived and played in Austin I’ve somehow never played there. Happy to be changing that. Grab tickets here.
